Apartment Review for Harbour Island Club Apartments - Fort Lauderdale, FL

let me begin by saying that I am a single male trying to raise my 13 year-old son in Florida after leaving New York. First I went to use my sons vanity mirrors in his bathroom..they fell off in my hands. the fixture in my bathroom for the shower fell off in my hands, I notified mangm't. it was promptly attended to within 7 days when I was showering one day and they let hemselves in without notification. my son was terrified ..i informed them of this ..their response. don't leave him alone in the house. by the way the fixtures fell off in our hands again in two days. I then fixed it myself and it has not failed since. secondly, I used the oven to cook a pizza... the stove always smoked so I told them it needed to be cleaned or something..no response.. any way I continued to open all windows and doors when I used the oven so as not to sufffocate until one day It caught on fire. Apparently the smoke I was seeing was coming from the burned insulation in a hole in the roof of the oven . I told them about this two months ago ...their response... We will not be renewing your lease . aftyer living here for 1 year now I receive notices on my car every other day that it will be towed because I dont have sticker on my vehicle... why would I need a sticker if I am leaving in 15 days?. since the hurricane the roof leaks and the patio door does not shut properly. what does management do... they fix thheir screen doors and roofs and we never saw another serviceman. tenants had to fix their own screens. all the other roofs are in disrepair and heir are leaks spots throughout the apartment .I inadvertantly left my apt # off my check ...what did they do?.. they waited twenty days then posted an eviction notice on my door for late rent plus a fee pf $130.00 no phone cal ,, no notice nothing. is it me or is this normal... I pay 979.00 a month not cheap
