Apartment Review for Twin Manor - Fort Lauderdale, FL

About 6 months ago I moved into my unit in this complex. Here are the pro's and con's: Pro: 1. Perfect location in Wilton Manors on a very safe and quiet street. I feel very comfortable walking either day or night to Wilton Drive 2. For the location, it's price is descent at near $800 for a one bedroom 3. The onsite office staff is faster than responsive. While I have not had to call on them frequently when I have the resonse was courteous and issues were handled the same day. In one case they even did something extra for me that certainly was not their responsibility. Cons: 1. I moved in without really knowing the rental market quite well. The property required first, last and security to move in. If you are moving into this area, look around! There are great complexes that are much newer desperately trying to fill units. Also, the average deposit requirement in this area is half of one months rent and NO last month rent. 2. The biggest issue, and reason I have rated the condition of the unit so low and would not reccomend this unit to a friend is allergies. Since I have moved in I have suffered from skin breakouts as well as respitory allergies that are associated to this unit. I travel a lot and every time I am away from here for more than 2 days this condition starts to clear up. I will say that I do have somewhat sensitive skin, and am prone to allergies. If you are the same, please just be very aware of this and I would consider living elsewhere. If it was not for this, I would probably renew at the end of my lease. I hope this information helps you to make an informed decision. Barring the deposit requirement as well as the allergies this complex offers a good value for your money.
